Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What wildlife can we see us on the trips?
A: The only wildlife we guarantee are the many seals near Loch Coruisk, and a variety of birds. We are primarily a boat trip to Loch Coruisk and our main focus is on the loch and the incredible scenery nearby. However, though we are not strictly speaking a ‘wildlife tour’ we do have a huge amount of wildlife sightings every season. We have very frequent sightings of basking sharks, dolphins, sea eagles and porpoises, and a fair amount of sightings of other wildlife such as minke whales, golden eagles, puffins and more.
Q: Do you offer any refunds if I am unhappy with my boat trip?
A: Of course! Our refunds policy is simple: If you are not entirely satisfied with every aspect of your trip with us (other than the weather!!) then we will happily give you your money back in full!
Q: Do you allow dogs on the trip?
Yes! Well behaved dogs are very welcome on all boat trips… Preferably accompanied by well behaved owners! On arrival at the Loch Coruisk side there are metal steps that some dogs struggle with so they often need carried.
Q: What should I wear for my trip?
We’re not the best people for fashion advice! However, here are some recommendations:
- It can be colder than expected whilst out at sea. It is worth bringing something warm on colder days.
- Skye is known for our rain! It is nearly always worth bringing waterproofs… Just in case!
- The ground you will be exploring is often wet and can be boggy underfoot. If you have them, bring walking boots or waterproof shoes. We strongly recommend NOT wearing sparkling white high heels (you wouldn’t be the first!!)
