There are some metal steps at the landing stage which our dog ( a labrador) was scared of climbing. Seamus, a crew member, offered to carry her up them! Coruisk Loch is beauriful, surrounded by the Cuillin Mountains. We had 90 minutes to explore which was only just long enough. It is possible to book for a longer time on shore if you want. On the return journey to Elgol harbour we were served complimentary drinkks and delicious shortbread. A great trip!

  We rolled up at the quayside, met with a hearty islander greeting and boarded the boat for the quick jaunt across to Loch Coruisk. A wee dander round the inlet... read more where we saw a seal colony basking in the sun (I know, sun in the isles!). We then went across and docked so we could start our walk. The sights were beyond belief, gorgeous water, the Cuillins and just a calm, peaceful place to walk. We returned to the boat after 90 minutes and were given a hot drink for the return trip. Only downside being the midges (bring your spray) but what is the west coast without them? Definitely do it again next year.

Loch Coruisk is beautiful and quiet- we easily walked around and found areas with few people. The tea/coffee and cookies when getting back on the boat was a really nice surprise!

Seumas the younger regaled us with local information and amusing stories whilst Dad Sandy steered the boat to places of interest like the seal colony and would stop the boat to let us watch and photo porpoises and other interesting wildlife.
The highlight was when we landed ashore and took the short walk to Loch Coruisk, possibly the most beautiful place in the UK !!!!!. We had about and hour and a half ashore and on our return to the boat we were given a hot drink of our choice and biscuits. Then a boat full of excitedly chattering tourists were transported back to Elgol where we reluctantly got off the boat. Would definitely recommend Misty Isle cruises. I’ve already booked another trip for September!!!
